“I see all of you, Rhys. And there is not one part that I do not love with everything I am.”

 – Feyre Archeron, Sarah J. Maas

Initial Thoughts After Blurb

I am so excited to see Feyre in the Spring court being all secretive and trying to convince Tamlin that she loves him and not Rhys. Because like how would someone even be able to do that, the moments that they shared together were just too good, I wouldn’t even be able to look at someone else if I were her.

Unfortunately, that brings us onto the Tamlin section of my initial thoughts. My thoughts are exactly this, Tamlin sucks more than anyone I have ever known. He is just a walking ick and a major red flag. Like if you want the girl work on yourself man, don’t be so damn rude! So in short, I never want to read about Tamlin again, he is dead to me.

Finally, I am interested to see how they deal with the kind because they were way to easily outsmarted last time and to see Rhysand and Feyre back together.

Halfway Through

Firstly, I would like to point out that Feyre is a badass. She is deceiving and smart like her plan to just make everyone turn against Tamlin is just genius.

Ianthe is up there with Tamlin as my most hated characters of all time. However, Tamlin has some how ended up becoming worse than he was before. How is that even possible!!!

On the other hand, Lucien is rising in my good books, again he is looking out for Feyre in her battle against Tamlin. Lucien is such a good guy like granted he has his pitfalls but that just makes him even better. No matter what went wrong he would still try and protect Feyre rather than make it out like she’s the problem.

FEYRE AND RHYSAND HAVE REUNITED!!!

Honestly, nothing could ever be louder than the scream I let out reading that scene just because I love them. They are just so good together, he makes her better she makes him better. Ugh! It just works.

Now onto the actual plot, the part that is sticking out to me the most is Elaine and her weird things that she keeps talking about. Like they can’t just be nonsense and it is annoying that none of the characters except Azriel (who is a babe btw) are taken her seriously. Nesta is being a bitch like always. Shock, horror.

The bone Carver seems like he could be an asset, like don’t get me wrong he is straaaaange but he still seems useful.

Finally, it is going to be intriguing how they are going to prepare for the battle with the Hyburn that is clearly coming.

Hopefully they can win lol.

At The End

Oh wow! I feel like so much has happened but also like not a lot has happened.

Like the attack on the Summer Court was a shock, I did not see that happening and the fact that it seemed like Feyre’s fault. Ouch.

The battle scene was cool and liked how much it was focused on the women being strong and taking the soldiers down as part of a deadly team.

Moving on, I feel so bad for Elaine like she has done nothing to know one, she has just existed and someone turned into the one thing her Fiancé hates. Her rejection scene was hard to read, I just felt so bad for her. She was so innocent in all this and still got dealt a bad hand.

The final battle was possibly one of the best things I have ever read. It just kept me on my toes the whole time. Like Feyre managing to bring the Bone Carver, the Weaver who turns out to be his sister and Bryaxis was so good. Only then to be surprised with the return of Feyre’s dad was just the icing on the cake. I’m not going to lie for the entire series so far I thought he was dead. But lol he is now soooooo…

Nesta and Cassian’s tension is so thicccc, you could cut it with a knife. Like they are both so stubborn, just admit that you want each other. I was so shocked that they didn’t especially when Cassian nearly died. Then again when Nesta killed the king!

This is then brings me onto the nearly heart breaking part of the story, when Amren turned into her true self and went on a rampage was so bittersweet because I honestly thought she was going to die.

Then it cutting to Rhysand being all noble and deciding that he was the one who had to be the sacrifice. And him literally dying. My heart could not take it and I was in full on tears.

Then them all coming together to save him ugh! I had to put the book down I was so distraught.

I can honestly say that this book has to be one of the best if not the best in the series. I cannot see how the others can top this. A Court of Wings and Ruin had everything that I enjoy in a book. It was action-packed, it pulled on my heart strings all while being easy to follow along to.

However, the one thing I forgive Sarah J Maas for doing is giving stupid Tamlin with his Stupid face a redemption arc. When he saved Tamlin and Azriel I literally threw my book across the room. That man deserves nothing but to be at the top of my most hated list. There is no redemption for him. Never!
